I joined the beading ladies in August 2006 and life has changed immensely for me since then. I am a widow with 3 sons, one of whom is now married and fending for himself and his family and the other two are Ian 17 and Ivan 14. In 2003, my younger sister passed on (meningitis) and left 4 young children. Being an elder sister I was chosen as the “musarapavana” meaning “one who becomes instant mother to the children”. Even though I was unemployed and barely putting ANY food on the table for my 2 sons I had to provide for the other 4 without question or complaint. This was my biggest nightmare. Then a friend told me she was recruiting ladies to be in the bead making business and until now, I think God made happen for me as I would have died of stress. It then became a little easier as I am able to take some money home every week and I then pay for expenses. I could never have enough money to have every one of my children well fed, clothed but I make enough to make them comfortable and fed and at ease with other children their age. I am thankful to my friend who introduced me and also to my bosses who are a dream come true. Beading has made my life much better and I hope and pray that our company gets bigger as we are definitely getting better at designing. World class stuff. Even the Queen would give it a second look!!!!
