Horn

|
Horn Beads are found all over Africa. They are hand carved and are sometimes dyed to create colours, the horn is normally bleached and then re-dyed in warm, mellow hues. The majority of Horn beads found here are from cattle horn hand carved in Zimbabwe. Another technique used on horn beads is batik, where wax is used to exclude the dye and so leaving the desired patterns on the beads. |
